46 pages / A4 / Colour

A book dedicated to Frank's brother 'Jack' (John Spittle), who has spent a life-time in the haulage business; both as a driver, and operator of his own business - Spittle's Transport.
Now retired from the business for some years, Jack took to model building to fill his new-found spare time.
The theme of his 'hobby' was of course haulage vehicles, which have been part of his life for so many years.
One major factor that sets Jack's models apart from any others however, is that they are 'scratch built', ....no kits or 'pre-fab' parts anywhere. All this done from memory (for which Jack is noted for his amazing knowledge of these vehicles) using sheets of plastic and a craft knife, and a few odd photographs from days gone by.
These models are - quite simply - amazing to behold, and are a very important part of transport history.

Frank's accompanying text to the 145 colour pictures gives a real insight into life on the road of the lorry driver.

'This book not only appeals to the model maker in appreciation of a fellow - constructors art, but also to the drivers and operators of these vehicles - young and old - who have ever been part of the transport business.'
